Sunday Smoothie Bowls || Winter Wonderland Bowl


Hello! It’s that time of year again (at least where I live ;)) when the snow falls, holiday lights sparkle, and we eat WAY too many desserts. Despite the cold, I still love a good smoothie bowl, and this cozy bowl full of rich winter flavors definitely hit the spot!

Nothing reminds me of winter more than fragrant vanilla, tart cranberry, and sweet and spicy cinnamon-sugar. This bowl packs all of those flavors into one big delicious breakfast that could probably pass as dessert too. Not only does it taste amazing, but is also super healthy, its vegan, refined sugar-free, oil free, and packed with nutrients and balanced healthy fats. Its a win-win for those with a sweet tooth!

Another thing- this smoothie was made with Ripple Foods unsweetened Pea Milk (link below)! This milk is an amazing, plant-based beverage with 8 grams of protein per serving! It’s certified vegan, nut free, soy free, lactose free, gluten free, and non-GMO – basically the plant milk everyone has been looking for. It is super creamy and thick and is the perfect addition to any smoothie for added richness and creaminess!

The smoothie is a vanilla-cinnamon base, with a cranberry sauce and crunchy toppings! I like to call it my “Winter Wonderland” bowl ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s the recipe for you!


for the base (smoothie):

2 frozen bananas

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

dash of cinnamon

1/4 cup ripple foods unsweetened pea milk (can be found here)

for the cranberry sauce:

1/2 cup cranberries (I used frozen, but I’m sure you could use fresh as well)

2 Tablespoons maple syrup (more or less to taste)

1/4 cup water


Bob’s Red Mill unsweetened coconut flakes

organic hemp seeds

organic chia seeds

Barbra’s Multigrain Spoonful’s cereal (can be found here)



I would recommend starting on the cranberry sauce first so it can cook down a bit (and save time, you know)

Add all ingredients for the cranberry sauce in a pot and heat over medium-high heat until cooked down, stirring occasionally. You can add more maple syrup if you want the sauce sweeter.

While that is cooking, you can start on the smoothie! Add all ingredients to a high speed blender, and blend with increasing speed. Since this smoothie is particularly thick, you may need to pause and scrape down the sides of the blender a few times. Blend until thick n’ creamy (it should be a soft serve ice cream texture). Top the smoothie with the cranberry sauce and other desired toppings (I listed the ones I used above). ENJOY!
